Conclusive Return in Trans-Am for PF Racing this Past Weekend

Sebring (FL), March 02, 2020 – PF Racing entered the Trans-Am Series presented by Pirelli season-opener this past weekend at Sebring International Raceway. Unfortunately, it didn’t go as planned for the Harrisonville outfit as they finished P6 in the SGT class after a hard-fought race on Sunday.

PF Racing’s own James Pesek was behind the wheel of the #41 Ford Mustang GT4 for this 100-mile event taking place at the historical Sebring Raceway, a track that will host the IMSA 12 Hours of Sebring and the WEC 1000 Milles of Sebring in a few short weeks.

Pesek took this opportunity to get familiar with the bumps of this layout once again, as the team was there in November, disputing the IMSA Encore. This time though, Pesek didn’t find success as he had an on-track incident a little after the halfway mark of the race.

“The start of the race went very well, I had a lot of space to find my pace,” said the driver of the #41 car. “I enjoyed racing in traffic with the wide array of classes on the track. However, an incident involving two TA cars left oil on the track, and about 25 minutes before the end of the race I spun out as a result.”

The car was not damaged during his off-track endeavour. However, the car would not fire up on time, and the safety crew had to tow Pesek back to the trailer where it eventually started again. Joining back the field with two laps down, James didn’t get much race time as a few cars collided during the restart, causing a full-course yellow within minutes of the checkered flag.

“Even if the race ended on a caution, I had a lot of fun battling with several cars on track. The drivers of this series are very talented, and they gave me a great challenge. Though the race itself didn’t go as planed, I see this weekend as a great experience. Sebring Raceway is always very challenging and fun; I quite enjoy the bumps!”

James Pesek will be back behind the wheel of his PF Racing #40 Ford Mustang GT4 in SRO GT4 America for the well-renowned race in the Streets of St-Pete. This thrilling event takes place on March 13, 14, and 15 in the suburbs of Tampa Bay.
