PF Racing Looking to Secure their Mustang Lead at Laguna Seca

PF Racing is heading to California for the only event of the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge on the West Coast. Chad McCumbee and James Pesek will co-drive the #40 Ford Mustang GT4 during Saturday’s two-hour endurance.

The Harrisonville outfit is currently sitting 8th in the Team’s Championship with 170 points, and Missouri native James Pesek is 8th in the Driver’s Standings. “We’re looking at securing solid points here at Laguna Seca,” said Team Owner Jr Pesek. “James and Chad co-drove the Ford Mustang last year during an 8-hour endurance race, so they know this track very well.”

“Laguna Seca is a great track for the Mustang,” added James. “There are no long straights, which will help us run at the top of the field.”

“We’ve had a great year so far,” said Chad McCumbee. “We almost got our first podium at Road Atlanta, and I feel it is our time to finish in the Top 3. We’ve had some great momentum: we need to capitalize on it and use our strengths this Saturday.”

The penultimate round of the Michelin Pilot Challenge will take place this Saturday at 3:35 pm PDT. Catch James Pesek, and Chad McCumbee live in action on NBCSN’s TrackPass.
